The Payment Register report is great for seeing when, how and how much each employee was paid for a particular pay run. As with many of the other reports, it lists the date the report was created, the payment date (Payroll Date) and can be viewed or downloaded (depending on plan type).

To access the Payment Register report:

A. From the left-hand menu, click Reports.

B. Click the Pay Run dropdown

C. Select Payment Register.

D. Report Name: this is the name assigned to the report. If you’ve updated the name, it will reflect in this column.

E. Date Created: this is the time and date the report was created. Provided the report has a ‘Final’ status, this will be the time that the pay run was completed because these reports are saved on finalization. If you filter by ‘Interim,’ this date will be when you click ‘Calculate’ in the pay run.

F. Start/End/Payment Dates: this represents the pay run’s cycle dates and the selected payment date. If your pay run had multiple payment dates this column will display the direct deposit date.  *Pro-Tip: you can see the full paymet dates listed on when you view/download the report.

G. Additional Options (Ellipses): Click the ellipses to see your export options. You can export it to PDF or Excel or simply view the report.

Viewing the report

H. Type: this is the payment method that was selected for each employee. If an employee is not paid, be sure to check here to verify the method that was set for them.

I.  Reference: this is the cheque reference number printed on the cheque report (if applicable).

Note: If you’d like to change this to match your cheques, follow the steps at the end of the article.

K. Pay Date: this is the date the employees are scheduled to receive their payment. If the payment method was set to ‘Cheque,’ then no payment would be sent by PayEvo. This date would simply represent the payment date you selected on the pay run.

L.  Amount: this is the net pay amount due to the employee. If you are paying the employee manually, this is the amount to pay them.

Changing your reference number

L. Reach the Payments Step while running payroll.

M. Change the number in the field Ref # to match the first cheque you will print on. All other employees will fall in order.
